On May 12, 2008 The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission found the Tampa Comprehensive Plan – Building Our Legacy A Livable City; sufficient and recommends to the Tampa City Council that they adopt and transmit, for official Department of Community Affairs review, the draft Tampa Comprehensive Plan – Building Our Legacy A Livable City, TPU 2008-1 and TPU 2008-2.

Tampa City Council held its final public hearing on Thursday, July 24, 2008 and transmitted the plan to the Florida Department of Community Affairs for official review.
